This pelagic species is readily found around the shores of Juan Fernández Is. during the spring and summer months (Arana, 2000) in schools of varying sizes. It is highly regarded by fishermen which draws an incipient alternative business to the islands (Ref. 89357). Also Ref. 33693. |
